The shape and the sense of Square and Circle can be traced back to the ancient China. No matter the sovereign or the civilian, the thinking of geomantic omen or to express feelings, square and circle are always canonized and worshipped, therefore, the China traditional architectural culture are based on these two shapes to express the Confucianism.
This design, first of all, considered the geometry structure, that is to embody the verve of Chinese culture by using the combination and changing of the shapes. In this design, the regular shape of squares is becoming an irregular beauty which is pursued by the modern art and at the same time the sequence of the whole structure is ensured. The shape Cirle in this design is to properly control the expansion of the square. The bigness and mysterious of the circle draws a beautiful picture in this space.
Except for the combination and harmonious of circle and square, the modern emotion about the space is also considered. Glass and mirror expresses the expansion, tension, levity, misty of the space.
This design based on the verve of Chinese culture, and expressed modern aesthetic conceptions. That is the attractiveness of square and circle.
方与圆的形和意自古便和中国系上了不解之缘。不论皇室或平民,或风水或传情或表意,总能推崇甚至膜拜。中国的传统建筑文化同样也以其为设计的基本构成,来表达中庸的儒家道理。
此案设计上首先强调了方与圆的几何构成。意喻用其形的组合和变化来体味中国文化的神韵。这时的形采用了解构的手法,让方的有序与规则,转变成当代艺术所追求的无序之美,其中强调变化的同时也呼吁形式结构的有序之韵。圆的表现在此案空间是对于方的蔓延的恰到收笔。圆的博大、圆的神韵与神秘在此方形空间中慢慢勾勒出一幅氤氲江南的唯美画卷。
方与圆穿插融合的同时也忘不了表现空间的当代情绪。玻璃与镜面的运用正是来述说空间的延伸,空间的张力,空间的多变,空间的缥缈……
有了文化神韵为铺垫的空间,依然传递着当代空间审美的表情。方与圆的博大与精深回荡于此。
